Introducing Forest 1

The world’s first whole-brain computer interface
The Forest 1 whole-Brain Computer Interface (wBCI) is a wearable neural interface that supports both imaging (1,2) and neuromodulation over large volumes of the human brain intraoperatively, or in patients with a craniotomy or sonolucent cranioplasty. Interfacing with the whole-human brain is what distinguishes Forest’s technology; the wBCI provides the potential to understand, diagnose and treat many indications in parallel at the level of full circuits and systems.

Key features

1,000x smaller
than conventional scanners allows for minimally invasive implantation with uncompromised performance.

Deep imaging
up to 20cm enables detailed anatomical and functional hemodynamic imaging throughout the whole brain.
.
Neuromodulation-ready
sequences provide world class performance to study therapeutic interventions.

Direct Laptop Interface
using a single USB cable allows a simple direct interface for real-time data analysis and control.

3D Imaging
with 8,960 2D elements ensures that even subtle hemodynamics are captured and influenced with precision.
IPX7 Waterproof
testing ensures Forest 1 can withstand challenging clinical and research environments.
